Terms And Conditions

The Tesco Diets residential weight-loss week (“Weight-Loss Week”) is provided to you by FitFarms Limited (“FitFarms”, “we” or “us”). These Terms and Conditions govern the terms of your booking with FitFarms and your relationship with us. Please read them carefully as they affect your rights and liabilities under the law. By booking a Weight-Loss Week with us, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

Use of this website is also subject to the TescoDiets.com General Terms and Conditions, please go to www.tescodiets.com for these.

Fit Farms strongly recommends that you should seek medical advice before starting any weight loss or nutritional programme. The information provided as part of the Weight-Loss Week programme does not offer medical advice or act as a substitute for medical treatment. You should not book or attend a Weight-Loss Week if you are underweight, morbidly obese, pregnant, breastfeeding, under 18 or have any medical condition which affects your dietary needs.


1. The Weight Loss Week Includes.

  1. 7 nights accommodation
  2. All food and non-alcoholic beverages
  3. Yoga / Tai Chi
  4. Walking excursions in the national park
  5. 7 day nutrition plan
  6. 7 day exercise plan
  7. Resistance exercises (for example, exercise ball or resistance bands)
  8. Exercise workshops
  9. Nutrition workshops
  10. Cookery workshop
  11. Weight management workshop
  12. Weight loss quiz
  13. Team games
  14. Health and fitness assessments
  15. Cardio workouts
  16. Educational workshops - where we will be devising training and nutrition programmes
  17. Transportation from train station to the barn and back to the station if requested.

Please note that the actual program for the Weight-Loss Week may be changed at the discretion of FitFarms based on candidate suitability.


2. Preliminary Booking & Payment Terms

To confirm your place on the residential Weight-Loss Week click on Book your place and fill in your details.

You will then receive an email confirming your place. This confirmation constitutes acceptance by us of your offer to book a Weight-Loss Week and a contract will be made between you and us at this point only. Full payment is taken in the booking process.

The dates of the Weight-Loss Week will only be changed or cancelled by us in exceptional circumstances in which case any monies paid by you will be fully refunded.


3. Cancellation & Refund Policy

If you cancel your reservation for a Weight-Loss Week 4 weeks or more prior to the start date, we will reimburse any fees paid by you. If you cancel your reservation 2 to 4 weeks prior to the start date we will offer you a 50% refund. If you cancel less than 2 weeks prior to the start date we will offer no refund.

You may request to transfer your reservation on a Weight-Loss Week to a friend or colleague, however, FitFarms reserves the right to refuse to accept such request if we feel that the substitute person is not a suitable candidate for the Weight-Loss Week.

Once your Weight-Loss Week has commenced, no refund or part refund or unused portion of your Weight-Loss Week will be repaid in the event of cancellation by you. If the reason for cancellation is covered under the terms of an insurance policy, you may be able to reclaim these charges.


4. Property Insurance

Please note that FitFarms does not carry insurance to cover loss or damage to your personal goods and these remain at your own risk for the duration of the Weight-Loss Week. FitFarms shall have no liability whatsoever for loss or damage to third party property. You are strongly recommended to take out your own travel insurance if you are travelling from overseas.


5. Information About You and Your Health

It is a condition of acceptance for a Weight-Loss Week that you complete a PAR-Q form which is included in the booking information pack. The PAR-Q must be returned with the deposit. You confirm to us that any information supplied by you in the PAR-Q form and in connection with your health generally is accurate, complete and true.

Please note that all personal information supplied by you is subject to FitFarms' Privacy Policy, a copy of which is available on request, and which can also be found on www.tescodiets.com/fitfarms.

If we believe that such information is not accurate, complete or true, you will not be entitled to continue on the Weight-loss Week and you will not be entitled to any refund of money paid.


6. FitFarms’ Liability

Although FitFarms will provide all dietary and other health-related consultancy advice and exercise programmes with all the skill and care to be reasonably expected of an appropriately qualified provider of such services, we give no other warranties or guarantees as to the precise results of the Weight-loss Week. The success of the Weight-lossWeek for you will be directly influenced by your current health and body type and self-discipline and effort will be required from you in order to ensure maximum benefit.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall limit the liability of FitFarms or its employees, agents or other representatives for death or personal injury caused by negligence or fraud. However, FitFarms’ total liability in respect of any other liability (including for breach of contract, negligence, breach of statutory duty or otherwise) shall be limited to an amount equal to the fees paid by you for your Weight-Loss Week.

To the maximum extent permissible in law: a) all warranties, representations, guarantees, conditions and terms whether express or implied by statute, common law or otherwise are expressly excluded; and b) in no event shall FitFarms, nor any of its employees, agents or other representatives be liable for any special, incidental, indirect or consequential damages whatsoever, including without limitation damages for loss of profits or any other pecuniary or other loss whatsoever arising from or in connection with any of these Terms and Conditions.


7. Third Party Websites

As a convenience to FItFarms’ customers, FitFarms website includes links to other web sites which are beyond its control. FitFarms are not responsible for content on the Internet or World Wide Web pages on any other site or publication outside of the FitFarms website (unless initially approved by FitFarms).


8. Advertising and Sponsorship

Part of the FitFarms website may contain advertising and sponsorship. Advertisers and sponsors are responsible for ensuring that material submitted for inclusion on the FitFarms website complies with relevant laws and codes. We will not be responsible for any error or inaccuracy in advertising and sponsorship material.


9. Applicable Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and any disputes will be decided only by the English courts.

10. Miscellaneous

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time and changes will be notified to you via the email address provided on registration or via a suitable announcement on this website. These changes will apply after we have given notice.

You may not assign or otherwise transfer any of your rights under these Terms and Conditions unless permitted by FitFarms. If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid by any court having competent jurisdiction, the invalidity of that provision will not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of these Terms and Conditions, which shall remain in full force and effect.

If you breach these Terms and Conditions and FitFarms ignores this, FitFarms will still be entitled to use its rights and remedies at a later date or in any other situation where you breach the Terms and Conditions.

FitFarms shall not be responsible for any breach of these Terms and Conditions caused by circumstances beyond its control.

A person who is not a party to these Terms and Conditions shall have no right under the Contract (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to enforce any term of these Terms and Conditions but this shall not affect any right or remedy of a third party which exists or is available apart from that Act.
